I had a pseudo dental emergency over the weekend. Monday I responded to a text from WPDA, and had an appointment the same day! Dr. Scott found the problem, and a solution! It was important to get this nailed down as I am leaving in 2 days on vacation! The speed and professionalism of this practice is unrivaled. I am a 30 year client and I could go to a practice much closer to home, but the staff and their caring ways keep bringing me back to WPDA.

I’ve had nothing but bad luck with this dental office. I have a bridge on one of my front teeth, and after 13 years it finally broke. No big deal, they usually last 10 years. So I come to Westport Dental as they offer emergency services, and luckily I was able to get in same day. I get it fixed, but am told several times that my old dentist didn’t do it right (even though it lasted 13 years) and he gets it back in. Flash forward 3 months and it’s out again. I was somewhat accused of doing it myself (I promise I’m not biting into raw steaks) as I don’t think the dentist could admit to himself that he didn’t do it well the first time. We’ll, flash again 5 months, and it’s out AGAIN. Luckily I don't live in KC anymore and I am getting it fixed by someone else. Maybe this place just isn’t meant for big dental work, or perhaps the dentist is inexperienced. At any rate, if you have “big projects” for dental work, I suggest someplace else. I added in a star as the ladies at the front are always so pleasant and they were able to get me same day appointments.

I've been taking my family (of 7) to Westport Plaza Dental ever since we met Dr. Palmer at a La Leche League picnic over 20 years ago. Drs Mace and Scott have filled his shoes really well. Both have great bedside manner and take time to patiently explain each procedure and answer any questions. And I've always felt that my care was in the hands of a competent and knowledgeable professional.

I received a refund for a veneer procedure performed by Gary Morgan. What was most aggravating was that Gary Morgan performed a three quarter crown reduction for a tooth that was supposed to be prepared for a veneer. And he had been explicitly told to not reduce the tooth further. Gary Morgan comes across as nice and gives indications that he is listening to patient concerns but this is not the case. It was after I visited another dentist in order to correct Morgan's procedure that I discovered that Morgan had not followed instructions.
