Emergency Dental Care

Whether you crack a tooth before a trip to another country or lose a crown right before an important business presentation, dental emergencies will affect most of us at one point or another.

While accidents are beyond your control, emergency dental care is within reach. At our Kansas City, MO dental office, we offer emergency dental services so you can receive the care you need when you need it most. From toothaches to broken teeth, our dentists are here for you.

We Handle a Wide Range of Dental Emergencies

Our emergency care includes, but is not limited to:

  • Filling cavities and relieving toothaches
  • Restoring broken or chipped teeth
  • Evaluating you for root canal treatment
  • Recementing a crown
  • Replacing a broken filling

A typical emergency appointment is generally around 30 minutes but can be longer depending on the time of day, the extent of care needed, and how much treatment we perform that day. If you’re a new patient, we ask that you arrive about 15 minutes before your appointment to fill out paperwork and provide proper ID and dental insurance information.

What Happens at an Emergency Appointment

During your appointment, we complete a full personalized evaluation to assess your needs and care and will most likely include x-rays. While we can handle many emergencies here at our dental office, in some cases, we may decide that referring you to one of Kansas City’s top dental specialists would be more appropriate.

If we feel your emergency would be better served by one of those specialists, we will write a referral, and a staff member will facilitate setting up your appointment and getting you seen and taken care of as soon as possible. We take your oral health seriously and will do everything we can to restore it in a timely manner.

If you believe you have a broken jaw or a more severe or life-threatening injury, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

We Are Here for You When You Need Us!

If you’re new to our dental practice, we don’t accept Medicaid or Medicare; however, we see patients with all types of insurance as out-of-network providers, and we are participating providers with Delta Dental Premier and Cigna PPO. We encourage all current and new patients to call their insurance companies to stay in the know about their coverage.

Emergencies come in all shapes and sizes, but they have one thing in common: You need relief, and you need it fast! As your emergency dentist in Kansas City, MO, we leave openings in our schedule so we can accommodate you as soon as possible.
