Westport Plaza Dental Associates is a full-service general and cosmetic dental practice located at the entrance of Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. You can find us at the crossroads of 47th Street and Roanoke Parkway, where our fourth-floor office in the Park Plaza building overlooks our city’s beautiful Plaza architecture.

Dr. Matthew N. Scott
Dr. Matthew Scott was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He grew up attending Westport Plaza Dental as a patient and now is excited to serve the patients as a dentist. Dr. Scott enjoys providing comprehensive dental care in a compassionate and relaxed dental environment. He prides himself on providing quality evidence-based dental care as well as educating patients on the importance of proper oral health. Dr. Scott is Invisalign certified and stays current on dental technology and research. In his free time, Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, playing guitar, exercising and volunteering.
Dr. Dustin K. Mace
Dr. Dustin K. Mace was raised in Columbia, MO, where he attended the University of Missouri and studied engineering and chemistry. He then attended UMKC where he received his doctorate from the UMKC School of Dentistry in 2007. After graduating from UMKC, Dr. Mace served as Director of Dental Services at Crider Health Center, a public health clinic near St. Louis, MO. During his six-year service in public health, Dr. Mace gained invaluable experience treating both adults and children with diverse backgrounds and dental needs.
Dr. Mace enjoys a variety of dentistry and makes every effort to stay current with modern approaches to patient treatment. His interests include restorative dentistry, cosmetic and esthetic dentistry including tooth colored fillings, crowns, and veneers, as well as providing comprehensive quality dental care to the entire family. He is experienced with complete and partial dentures, as well as treatment options for replacing missing teeth. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Mace always stays current with continuing education and exceeds the minimum requirements by the state dental board.
Dr. Mace is married to his high school sweetheart, and together they have two daughters and a son. He enjoys playing guitar, reading, and exercising. On the weekends, Dr. Mace enjoys taking his kids to the park, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time outdoors with his family.
Dr. Gary P. Morgan
Dr. Gary Morgan is a native of Kansas City and a graduate of Center High School. He served in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician before returning to school. He majored in biology as an undergraduate of UMKC and received his doctorate from UMKC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Morgan pursues continuing education to stay abreast of scientific research, as it impacts modern dental treatment. The aspects of dentistry he most enjoys are cosmetic and restorative dentistry and orthodontic treatment with Invisalign. He belongs to the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater Kansas City Dental Society.
Dr. Morgan and his wife have two married sons, one granddaughter, and one very funny Jack Russell mutt named Stanley. They enjoy travel, camping, bicycling, gardening, and snorkeling. Dr. Morgan plays golf avidly, and Dr. Morgan is a proud member of Rotary International through the Kansas City-Plaza Rotary Club.
Treatment Coordinator/Dental Assistant
15 years in the dental field
As an expanded functions dental assistant who works primarily at the front desk, Jodi is able to take her years as a DA and apply them to assist patients in understanding their treatment options. Her educational background in the dental field continues to keep both the front office experience and the clinical experience of the patient cohesive. Jodi loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling and reading. She gets to go home to her husband Pete and her ever hilarious son, Sullivan.

10 years in the dental field
The first friendly face you’ll see in our office is Nicole. Often times she is who you’ve been texting with about new patient forms, rescheduling, and more. Because of her years of experience in both the professional dental setting and scholastic dental setting, Nicole is well versed in almost all places dental in Kansas City. As a highly involved volunteer at KC Pet Project, Nicole helps us get involved in the community. Married 28 years to her high school sweetheart, the two share two children and two rescue pups.

Dental Hygiene Coordinator
41 years in the dental field
Keeping our hygiene schedule full, filling in cancellations and making sure our staff stays busy is one of Susie’s many talents. As one of the longest reigning staff members, she knows the ins and outs of our patients and their families and is the true definition of someone who cares. Susie enjoys reading, movies, long walks, listening to music and live theatre productions. At home she and her husband Ron are empty nesters with three grown children, one spoiled beagle hound and one grand-dog.

Insurance Specialist/Treatment Coordinator
10 years in the dental field
Natalie is the glue that holds together the inner workings of the office with the insurance companies both in network and out of network. With her many years in the field as well as being a mom of two, she is best at being an advocate for the patient with their insurance companies. She understands how the whole system works. Natalie has been married for 22 years to her husband Scotty. Their home is complete with two dogs, Cooper the golden retriever, and Fred the bloodhound.
As a current or future patient, Natalie is the best person to talk to when understanding your dental insurance and what you will be responsible for financially.
21 years in the dental field
Aside from Brandi’s years of experience, her top strengths are being gentle and efficient with your time in the chair. Spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and going on walks with her daughter are a few of her favorite things. At home Brandi enjoys baking, friends and family time, but most of all spending time with Ellie.
10 years in the dental field
Dajana’s name can be pronounced “Diana”. Her strengths as a dental hygienist include attention to detail and compassion for her patients. At the office she has her hands in a lot of the product and equipment ordering, so educating patients on dental products for optimal oral health is something you can count on. Dajana was born in Croatia and grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. She lived in Germany for 10 years and moved to the USA in 2001. As a huge fan of the chiefs and the game of soccer, Dajana keeps the office lively during the sporting seasons. Newly married to her husband, they share one fur-baby named Milo.
3 years in the dental field
Lexi graduated from the school of Dental Hygiene at Concorde Career College in 2017. She was born and raised here in Kansas City, and also lived in Springfield for two years. Lexi is extremely excited to have joined the team here at Westport Plaza Dental Associates. She truly enjoys being a Dental Hygienist and getting to work with patients one on one to help keep their dental health on track. When Lexi isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her puppy, Remi, hanging with friends and family, and traveling when she can. Other hobbies outside of dentistry that she enjoys include yoga, listening to live music, and all things outdoors!
45 years in the dental field
As a senior dental assistant, Kim has spent the last sixteen years at Westport Plaza Dental Associates. As an assistant she really enjoys getting to know the patients and visiting with them during appointments. Excellent care is a top priority for Kim and she is especially skilled in crowns, bridges and temporaries as well as taking impressions. Tips and tricks from over the years are not the only thing Kim shares with the office. When we are lucky she brings in recipes from her years as a mom. She is a widower and mother to two grown children; Austin in California and Rachel in Georgia. Two granddaughters and one grandson get to call her grandma and she tries to visit as often as she can. She keeps up with all of them by staying fit playing tennis, going to the gym, riding bicycles and is learning to play golf.
39 years in the dental field
For the last thirty-four years, Diana has been serving the patients at WPDAKC with gentle and intentional care. Her certification in TMJ as well as former background in massage therapy make her one of the best people to talk to when it comes to jaw pain, teeth grinding, and sleep appliances as well as home care to relax and cope with TMJ symptoms. Gardening, traveling, going for long walks and being outside make Diana most happy. Family takes top priority for Diana outside of the office and she spends as much time as she can with them, visiting both in Kansas City and in other states. Diana goes home to her amazing husband who gave her three beautiful step-children. Her fur-children include two cats and two dogs.
1 year in the dental field
Gabbi is fairly new to the dental field but has big dreams and is working toward her dental hygienist goal. While she works toward a career in hygiene, Gabbi can be found chair-side as a dental assistant. She grew up in Kansas City with all of her family close by. Traveling and seeing music around the world with her close friends and family is what she loves most. Home includes her boyfriend and two fur-children who she can’t get enough of.
2 years in the dental field
Betty joined WPDAKC as a full-time assistant in January 2019 with a nursing and medical background. In fact, some of her favorite procedures involve the surgical aspects of dentistry, and she is well experienced in phlebotomy. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys her Mexican heritage; often times she brings in treats for our team to enjoy. Betty spends time outside of the office at home with her wonderful husband, sons, and sweet granddaughter who visits as often as possible.
23 years in the dental field
For the last seventeen out of twenty-three years in dental hygiene Sonia has been apart of Westport Plaza Dental Associates. Over the years she has developed lasting relationships with many of our patients. As a hygienist, her focus is providing quality care as well as quality education on maintaining good oral health between appointments. Outside of the office Sonia is busy helping her husband run a sports bar and maintaining her health by going to the gym. Her biggest enjoyment in life is spending quality time with her husband and traveling; especially visiting her son who resides in California.
